Playing it up with Paint

 

"With a neutral palette you can bring any color in as an accent." The walls in master bedroom are painted with Restoration Hardware, Latte.  The arch is highlighted with slightly darker color.  This ads visual interest to the arch!

The rotunda (building or room with a dome) seen below in this Dos Vientos home,  was free hand painted around the front door.  Paint is a great inexpensive way to decorate!

This beautiful handwriting was painted with a stencil, above kitchen door. Who would have thunk ???

 

 

 

Ceiling Impact

 

See below this recessed ceiling adds maximum drama.  Ceiling tins purchased on the net. I had them stained and antiqued!  Puck lights highlight the custom oversized 12’ dark walnut dining table below.

 

Window Treatments

 

In this home I was hired for a drapery consultation. Seen below I created this unique curtain rod.  A scrolled iron piece was attached,  over an existing curtain rod, using hidden zippy ties,   giving this ordinary drapery rod a custom look.  It’s framed with a dummy panel on each side.  If you aren't familiar with dummy panels,  they are stationary and don’t open or close.  This gives a private window a spacious open feeling.

 

 

Drapery hardware installed on the CEILING to emphasize the room’s height.   The hardware is available online only.  I've looked for it in retail stores . . . . to no avail.

The sliding glass door is flanked with two neutral dummy panels.

 

Custom Valance below from Calico Corners. Is lined inside the pleats with the same fabric for a more cohesive look.  Notice how the valance ends directly against the kitchen cabinets.  This is a Very custom look!

 

 

This darling roman shade finishes off the side door leading out to the side of home.

 

 

 

This custom cornice repeats the arch design,   above the vanity in this charming master bath.  I just love it !!!
